Major Summer Fun Around Battle Creek
Downtown Battle Creek is ready for you and your family to come down for breakfast with their Cereal Festival and the World’s Longest Breakfast Table event on June 11th. Marshall will have two music festivals this summer with Blues Fest on June 25th and Bluegrass Festival from July 17th to the 23rd. The Blues Fest is a free event and will feature Thornetta Davis as their headliner and Marci Linn Band as their opener. The Bluegrass Festival Wildwood Valley Boys, Night Flyer, The Bluegrass Mountaineers, and many more artists over over the seven day festival. The music will be flowing this summer in Marshall!
The Calhoun County Fair in Marshall is Michigan’s oldest county fair and will run from August 14th to the 20th. Enjoy all the great fun that the fair has to offer including animals, rides, and, of course, fair food! The Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival in Battle Creek on June 29th to July 4th. Watch the hot air balloons take off every morning and night, watch the air show, and enjoy the Skerbeck Carnival. The highlight of this year’s Air Show with be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. This is a can’t miss event this summer!

Townsquare Media will host Kalamazoo Ribfest from August 4th to the 6th at Arcadia Creek Festival Place in Downtown Kalamazoo. This is Kalamazoo’s largest downtown festival and they have a few new tricks up their sleeves this year. Their “Best Ribs in Kalamazoo” tent will help determine the best rib and which rib vendors will get to come next year. There will also be live performances every night with country artist Brian Lorente on Thursday, Vince Neil of Motley Crue on Friday, and R&B stars En Vogue on Saturday.
